NORMAN STEVENS ARA 1937-1988

  Painter & printmaker was born and educated in Bradford. Among his chums at this time were David Hockney and David Oxtoby.

Which was followed by  3 years at The Royal College of Art Where he won the LLoyd Landscape and the Abbey Minor Travelling Scholarships. On graduation taught in Manchester, Maidstone and Hornsey.

He was elected to the RA in 1987 but sadly died the following year.

Ours is an etching/aquatint called 'Second Lily'. Titled, numbered (186/200), signed & dated (79) in pencil. Has CCA blind stamp. Image 240 x 200mm.
