SALOMON van ABBE 1883-1955. b. Amsterdam.
Watercolourist, etcher & book illustrator. Lived London. Studied under Edmund Blampied and was very much influenced by the Blampied style. His works were well exhibited inc. 23 at RE and 16 at RA shows.
These are 5 original (3 signed pen & inks and 2 in full colour) illustrations from ‘THE MAD MILLER OF WAREHAM by JOYCE REASON, published in 1949. Sold with the 1954 edition of the book (this edition).
