Here is a RICHARD SAMUEL CHATTOCK 1825-1906. JP. RE. RBSA. etching, untitled, of a mother and child in widows weeds talking with the man in charge of the weigh station. Signed in pencil. It is in remarkable condition. 125+ years old and without blemishes or foxing. Now remounted using museum quality board so should be good for another 125+ years.
Etched into the bottom right corner of the plate, there is a 4 line poem, ‘In Memoriam’
