FREDERICK MARRIOTT RE RCA 1860-1941.
Painter and as good an etcher/artist with aquatints as was. His use of colours was sublime.
Born Stoke on Trent. Early life as a pottery painter. Gained a scholarship at The RCA. Enjoyed life as an artist and went into teaching; initially at Blackheath and later as headmaster at Onslow and then Goldsmiths. He was very well exhibited inc. 42 at The RA and 53 at The RE. Elected RE in 1924.
