Wilson, Cyril-Two Figures


CYRIL WILSON 1911-2002.
Was born in High Wycombe and live much of his adult life nr. Dumfries. Where he is well remembered seen about the town with his distinctive mane of white hair and his orange coloured suits. He listed his interests as being a friend of Royalty, water divining, music and the scout movement.
He developed this surrealist style quite early in his career and is said to be very heavily influenced by Spain (its colours, the light and warmth). This original lithograph is called "TWO FIGURES". It is in fine condition with no colour drop or other blemishes. It is signed, numbered and dated in pencil. Image measures 480 x 430mm.
