PRIDDEY, James - CHIPPING CAMPDEN
£125.00
JAMES PRIDDEY RBSA, BWS,1916-1980
Born Handsworth, Birmingham. He studied at Moseley School of Art and at Birmingham College of Art (the world famous Margaret St.). Mr. Priddey exhibited widely including at the Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal West of England Academy, Society of Graphic Art, and at the Paris Salon where he received a silver medal in 1949. He lived and worked in Harborne, Birmingham. He died just before Christmas in 1980.
We are pleased to offer an etching of part of CHIPPING CAMPDEN in the Cotswolds in drypoint and coloured inks. Signed and titled in pencil and has a Warwick Galleries of Birmingham blind stamp. Colours are all good but it has a slight 'back-board burn' about 25% in from right margin. This will not now get any worse as we only use museum quality materials. Image measures 225 x 300mm
