DICKSON, Jennifer CA. RA. RE. 1936-

Born in Piet Retief, S.A. Has lived for many years in Ottawa.
Trained as a painter/printmaker at Goldsmiths and later, the Atelier, Paris. Went on to teach print at Brighton College of Art and moved to Canada in 1969. She taught print at Saidye Bronfman in Montreal. Her first solo exhibition was in London 1962. She has had more than 60 solo's, worldwide since. She does not have a publisher, she prints and publishes herself mainly through galleries and at exhibitions.
RE in 1965 & RA in 1976. Awarded Canada's highest accolade, the Order of Canada in 1995.

Here is an etching/aquatint with watercolour. In fine condition with no foxing or other blemishes.
It is signed, DICKSON (LR); entitled DAPPLED SUNLIGHT (BOWOOD) and numbered 15/30 (LL) all in pencil. Image measures 320 x 405mm. It is also signed with her personal embossed stamp, called a 'CHOP' in the bottom right corner under mount. Printed on mould made paper with the watermark of 'C.M.FABRIANO - 100/100 COTTON'.
